~Henker144's Gold 2 is a resource bursting with smooth focus, elegant lighting, and sumptuous, undulating texture! It's rich with metallic potential for a variety of artistic projects. (
I just wanted to let you know, resource provider to another, that I think you totally deserved this DD. It's very high quality and the lighting/colour is perfect. Not to mention that we don't get much light shed on us.
Just to prove you've achieved something great, and something this person [link] thought he could do, but failed. It's blurry, flat, dull, and the color is uneven and grainy in some places. Sure it could be used still. However, it's an easy choice between which will be used more often than the other.
I'm always glad to see "Resources & Stock" getting some credit. It's very important to the website but as peoples' comments below prove it rarely gets the respect it deserves. Sure this isn't "art" but it's a quality picture and will be useful to a lot of people, and it's nice to see a DD that isn't the same as the rest of them once in a while. The DD's are supposed to be a sampling of quality deviations from a variety of genres, styles and mediums.. that includes resources.
It's a resource, not some artistic statement.. and it's a really good quality unique resource, just as deserving of a DD as anything else. Also, I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to complain about the DD on the art's page.
It wasn't A complaint, That's why the emoticon I used was a bow and not any of the 'anger' ones ,I thought it was Audacious For what it was. The artist reintroduced a staple texture/concept that's been used in manga since the 1980's.
Yea but he wasn't trying to be innovative he was trying to provide a useful resource. Which he did. If people use this type of texture often, that makes it more useful not less.
What you said was insulting, I don't care what your reply emoticon was.. it could be love, it doesn't matter if you say something like that. What you said sounded like you were sarcastically pointing out that it was just a simple piece of foil and yet it still received a DD, and that was 'audacious.' Maybe you don't know what that word means. :/
No I know full well all the meanings for the word. While YOU felt what I said was insulting there was no insult inferred on my account. And Whoever did submit the Artists texture for A D.D given it was just A simple piece of gold foil showed A ton of chutzpah. I know he recreated a'lot of texture's to be used by other Artists on his site, very cool and thoughtful again you think I was insulting I don't.
its neat ,i´m just wondering how it can be used well, sinc eits very "crumbly" i know its purpose just thinking of a way to make it look well as a part of an image.I used a glass texture lately so maybe i could try this somewhen

If you don't like it take it up with the GM. It's a texture for others to get creative with. It's not supposed to be a grand painting/drawing/photograph. And it's actually better than most textures out there.
Again, if you don't like it take it up with the GM.
